Chronic --WHAT-- 'cles of Narnia!

    Monday, March 20, 2006, 07:31 PM [General]

    Cupcake, Dammit!

Why didn't you living-on-land types tell me about the Chronicals of Narnia rap? I mean, it's not like we get SNL out here, and even if we did, you'd really have to entice me to waste my time watching it. And I was in New York a little while ago...can someone tell me what's up with all the cupcakes?

    Finally, some pictures!

Blog PhotoThese are the camels we rode to the train right before we popped out of the sand and snuck onto the train going through the Sahara to the bad-guy evil lair where they were burying toxic chemicals underground (or we just rode them in Cairo for fun...whatever you want to believe is fine).

This is the Oregon..can you believe we found it beached in Egypt? Crazy Juan Cabrillo is down there playing on state-of-the-art computers, you know.

Next Bilingual Post/Ceci ne signifie rien

    Monday, March 13, 2006, 07:03 PM [General]

Alas, we stopped in Egypt for a while. I will post some fun pictures when I am finally able to get a connection that's a little faster than this one.

We should be in Greece soon...I can't wait to see that land. I hear there are a lot of stray cats there...and cool art and architecture and lots of fun things to do.

I learned new jet ski tricks when we were cruising around India, and I can't wait to try them out in waters that aren't festering with military restrictions. I also can't wait to get to Europe and really try out my French.

    Thursday, March 9, 2006, 03:30 PM [General]

    Hello - Bonjour...
The people on my boat think that since I am Canadian, I should offer all of my writing in both English and French.

That's why I've decided to offer this bi-lingual post as we travel to our next destination, Greece...another country that speaks French as its second language.

I also told Jack that since Spanish is becoming widely used in the US, she should stop going around thinking "leche" means "left" when it really means "milk."

I think that put her in her place, so this is the only post that I will bother to write in English and French. I mean, that's the reason I left Canada in the first place.

    LETS GO TO THE WINCHESTER!

    Wednesday, March 8, 2006, 06:49 PM [General]

Hello again! I'm back online for a little while at least. We're headed to Egypt ...It'll be a couple days before we get there. In the meantime, I've taken up the art of Haiku. I believe that anything written without end rhyme is worth listening to...that's why I often enjoy the melodic stylings of Gwar.
No, actually, I hate Gwar. I've also found that as a Canadian and an engineer, I am quite an anomaly because I don't really listen to Rush.

In other news, I saw Shawn of the Dead last night (thanks to some cadets who are staying with us) and darnit if it wasn't just the funniest little zombie movie since Army of Darkness (actually, don't tell anyone, but I like the second Evil Dead movie the best).

So how have you all been?
