About Me: Hi, I'm TJ. I'm a stuntwoman part time and a diver the other part time. My dream is to try at least one season of Alaskan crab fishing because it looks really awesome...even if I just end up cutting up bait the whole time. No biggie. Oh yeah, and I just sailed around the world. It was awesome...read my blog to see stuff about the trip.
Music: I like the theme to Airwolf and I hate that "Had a Bad Day" song. If they fused the two together and called it "Had a Bad Airwolf" ...well...that would be okay.
Movies: Anything with Gary Busey or Rutger Hauer...bonus points if both of them are in the same movie, like Surviving the Game (That was the worst movie since Raise the Titanic. I love it!) I love bad movies - not bad as in good and misunderstood, I like bad bad movies. I have a collection of Dolph Lungren DVDs, if that says anything about my unnaturally horrible taste. Don't judge me.
TV: I like the discovery channel a little too much...especially during Alaskan crab fishing season. I like canceled shows like The Highlander, Wonderfalls, Due South, and Stargate SG1 (well, it might as well be off the air...you can't just change everyone in the cast and think I won't notice.)
Books: Cussler fan, all the way.
Likes: Mostly middleweight class battlebots and Captain Sig Hansen because I like his name. "Sig" I also like his boat.
Dislikes: Zigging for great justice (I believe no man should have to zig, no matter what the cause.)
Hobbies: At sea, I love XBox, Battleship, Underwater hockey (it does too exist), jetskiing, diving, and heading aft. On land, I love my stunt job...mostly fire and falling stunts, mountainbiking, freestyle quad riding and, oh yeah - my RV that looks like Jeannie's bottle.
Vices: Je ne parle pas français très bien
Virtues: I'm really good at building things, especially things that will combust. I'll build you a battlebot for free if you want.
Heroes: Dirk Pitt (Sr.) I think a two syllable name really says something about a man. ;)

    Daltrey on Amaknak Island

    Friday, August 11, 2006, 11:21 AM [General]

    Blog

I'm currently staying with my bud, Daltrey who is from Amaknak Island, AK (dude, that's where everyone is a crab fishermen and everything is totally hardcore kick ass) although last night when I asked the Alaskan native to tell me about Dutch Harbor, this is what she said (verbatim..I have it on tape):

"Amak is a mythical land that appears from a phantasmagoric mist every 200 years to reveal a charming village full of endearing simple folk who love to skip and sing and do piroettes in the street...oh no, wait. That's fuckin' Brigadoon. Amak is just damn cold and full of fish."

I'm just impressed she knew a word like phantasmagoric!

    The Deadliest Muffins

    Wednesday, August 2, 2006, 09:50 PM [General]

It's Shark Week! It's Shark Week! YAY!!!! Come on, isn't anyone else totally psyched that it's Shark Week? I realized this evenign as I watch shark week that the announcer guy on that show can say just about anything in that serious voice of his and I'll think he's talking about the most deadly thing ever.

Here's a test...do your best impersonation of the Mike Rowe voice (he does dirty jobs and deadliest catch -- you know, typical macho serious danger announcer guy voice) In that voice, read the following statement:

for the best blueberry muffins, preheat your oven to 375 degrees, then in a large bowl, mix butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Fold in milk and fresh, ripe blueberries. Fill muffin cups and be sure to sprinkle some extra sugar on top for a touch of extra sweetness.

Come on now, Mike Rowe can make that muffing baking stuff look downright deadly. You'll be afraid to handle the blueberries after Mike Rowe is done with them!

Okay, I forgot what I was originally talking about.

    6 degrees of Bacon

    Thursday, July 27, 2006, 10:12 PM [General]

Can anyone link Vince Vaughn to Kevin Bacon in less than 6 movies? It's driving me nuts!
